Despite rain and cold, we had a great turnout for our garage sale fundraiser. So many mamas turned out, whether by word-of-mouth, email announcement or our website, that it turned into something of a little community event. It feels great to see breastfeeding families coming together to help a common cause….supporting other breastfeeding families. There was a mountain of children’s clothing, as well as lots of maternity, some nursing clothing and lots of toys and books. A little something for each family that came to check out the deals. The $800 that was raised will really help our very small budget. Thank you to everyone who came! These funds will go toward updating our lending libraries, getting the word out that LLL is here to help breastfeeding families and pay for our 7-day-per-week breastfeeding helpline. Here’s a preview of some of the books that will be available in our lending libraries (call ahead for particular books…not every group has each one).
